Objectively: The NO MORE Program supports the NO MORE to Family Violence Campaign, which is endorsed by high level Indigenous influencers. The NO MORE Program is a Northe
Territory-wide Aboriginal initiative that works with men, service providers and the wider community to develop local responses to reduce the incidence of domestic, family and sexual violence by changing mens behaviour and attitudes towards women and violence. The NO MORE Program aims to change the behaviour of men who use violence through supportive culture in sporting clubs, workplaces, organisations and communities, as well as build community capacity, establish mens groups, provide domestic, family and sexual violence education, and offer referrals to mens behaviour change programs, counselling, and therapeutic behaviour change groups. The NO MORE Program encompasses a dynamic process of change through developing community leadership, responsibility and action, and adapting to the needs of the community. Two hubs have been developed in Darwin and Alice Springs with two more being established in Katherine and Tennant Creek. These hubs work closely with the community including other NGOs, police, sporting clubs, schools and Territory Families.

The NO MORE Program Worker is responsible for providing activities that support the NO MORE Campaign in order for the NO MORE program to meet its objectives. An important part of this role is to link in with other service providers in the community to implement prevention and reduction strategies.

Case Worker (Intensive Family Preservation)

The Organisation
An exciting opportunity has become available to work for Ba
ardos, one of Australias leading childrens charities. This is a full time 6 month fixed term contract for a Case Worker in our Intensive Family Preservation Program based in Cranebrook,Penrith.

The Role
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Case Worker, Intensive Family Preservation will work with families with children 0-15 years, providing intensive in-home crisis intervention, practical assistance, counselling and skill development for families who have children at risk of significant ham and are at risk of placement in out-of-home-care (OOHC).

The Candidate
The ideal Case Worker will have:

– Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare or a related discipline
– 2 years experience working with children and young people and their family in a child protection context
– Knowledge of child development and parenting capacity
– Experience in working with families with multiple, complex needs and that may be experiencing acute crisis

Additional Information

Work for an in home and residential disability support provider in Melbourne and across Victoria. As a support worker you will provide a range of personal care and home help services. These tasks can include domestic assistance, facilitating meal times, client movement and transport, personal hygiene assistance, communication support, administration of medication, assistance with recreational activities, high-needs personal care, rehabilitation, independent living skills, and assistance with the development of individual care plans.

The participants that this in home and residential disability provider works with have complex medical needs and generally present with multiple disabilities, ABI and spinal injuries being the most common. Full training is provided to employees who work on the program. The vacancies are permanent PT no guaranteed hours due to the nature of the client’s needs.

Our client is a market leader in Electronics manufacturing providing design, manufacturing and consulting services.

Due to an increased workload they are seeking to employ temporary roles which could lead to permanent employment for the right candidate.

Your role will be to assemble high precision electronic components in a production environment which will include sitting or standing for long periods at a time. You will be required to set up and use a surface mount pick and place machine, board inspections, through hole preparation, insertion, running wave solder machine, hand soldering, testing (to written instructions), packing etc.

To be eligible for the role.

– Trade Qualification in Electronics

– Experienced Surface mount pick and place machine operator

– Surface mount rework soldering technician (must have experience hand soldering and de-soldering SM ICs)

– Applicants must have good English communication skills (written and verbal).

Hours of work are 6:30am till 3:30pm and every 2nd Friday off
