About the Role
Gender Dysphoria Clinic is located in Hampton East. A great location if you are living close to the CBD or in the South East Sector. As the Senior Social Worker (Gr 3) you will become an important part of Victoria’s publicly funded specialist health service for Transgender, Gender Diverse and Non Binary people. You strive for success and you enjoy the dynamic nature of being part of a multidisciplinary team. You have a strong commitment to providing timely and appropriate clinical and non-clinical social work interventions in three key stages- prior to formal assessment, during clinical assessment & tearment and post discharge. Suitably qualified people with lived experience are highly encouraged to apply.
About You
You enjoy working in a fast paced rapidly changing environment. You have a passion for transgender health and/or in meeting the needs of the rapidly growing transgender and gender diverse community. You have a strong commitment to exceptional care and outstanding outcomes for your consumers. You are a highly experienced Social Worker who can demonstrate competence in risk management and in coordinating care that addresses complex psychosocial issues.
We are looking for someone with:
– Approved for membership with AASW;
– Eligibility for current AASW CPE accreditation
– Experience in mental health; and
– Keen interest in transgender issues.
