Our client is a Top Tier Developer is currently requires the expertise of an experienced Design Manager (Construction Management) with experience in large scale mixed use and high rise residential development projects.
They are known for developing exciting, diverse and award winning Places throughout Australia with a reputation for high quality form and function. With secured pipeline of Mixed-use Commercial / Residential High Rise Development Projects that will see a steady release of works, they require the expertise of an experienced Project Manager to join this established business.
The Role:
Reporting to the Director you will be responsible for running a number of concurrent mixed use projects from a $100M Mixed-use and Residential projects across the Sydney Basin, focusing on time, cost and quality.
To be considered for this role you should have the ability to demonstrate the following:
– Prepare design brief before design start
– Advice on the major design plans / structure plans
– Draft up design Mechanical documents.
– Scrutinizing the selection of materials
– Managing design progress and design quality to meet milestones
– Managing design contracts and design consultants review & peer review of consultants design Control Project Budget
– Managing time frames of Mechanical design to meet milestones of project development
– Assist in running and managing the project during the tender and construction phase
– In charge of project design management to ensure qualified design and excellent quality control Manage and Coordinate architect firms and other key consultants
– Ensure Mechanical Design intent is fully delivered
– Plus other relevant tasks authorized by Design Director or Project Director
To be considered for this role you should have the following skills & expertise:
– Completed a relevant industry associated Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Construction / Architecture or Engineering
– Demonstrate proven experience delivering Construction Lead Development Works of more than 5 years
– Experience both in a head contracting and client/consultancy environment
– Demonstrated track record in Managing Mixed use Residential / Commercial Projects
– Excellent experience in Driving Projects from DA to Completion
– Experience in Design Management and coordination of design through the construction process
– Managed the tender process to engage contractors and managing the contractor and contracts administration through delivery.
– Excellent stakeholder influencing skills, with exceptional communication skills- both written and verbal
– Be ready for a good challenge, with excellent problem solving.
